Not since the days of Shaq has the basketball world seen such a one-man. Following his 2011 retirement, Shaq became a TV analyst for Inside the NBA.  O’Neal was a naturally gifted athlete, no doubt about it.

After leaving college in order to focus on his basketball career, Shaq was drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1992, where he played four years. He quickly became one of the best centers in the league. Throughout his career he played also for the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and lastly the Boston Celtics. O'Neal established himself as an overpowering low post presence, putting up career averages of 23.7 points 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

However, his fame is due not only to his physical dominance on the hardwood. His larger than life personality made him to a great entertainer seeing him in in various roles in several movies such as Kazaam (1996), He Got Game (1998), Scary movie 4 (2006), Grown Ups 2 (2013) and Blended (2014).

Besides acting, Shaq also has developed his passion for rap music into a side career over the years, dropping a total of five albums. The first “Shaq Diesel” was released in 1993 and received platinum certification for shipping one million copies.

Another interesting fact about this big fella? He has devoted a great deal of time to advancing his own education, earning two graduate degrees. After receiving a Master of Business Administration degree from Barry University in Florida in 2005, he returned to the university, and was awarded a doctorate degree in education in 2012. During the ceremony O’Neal had to knee down  so that department chair David Kopp could place the light blue doctoral hood around O’Neal’s shoulders.
